WordPress Themes Suggested by My Twitter Friends

December 2nd, 2008  |  Published in Communication, Twitter, Wordpress

Yesterday I asked my Twitter followers for recommendations on where I could find some amazing and useful themes for WordPress. Above is an image showing some of the responses I received.

This is another example of how much I enjoy using Twitter as a resource. Could I have simply searched Google for “WordPress Themes?” Yes, and I already had. I wasn’t happy with the results because there’s too much information out there. It’s overwhelming. And it takes hours to filter through it all.

A better way is to ask my friends (my followers on Twitter) and get personal recommendations. Not only do they recommend themes, in some cases, they tell me about their personal experience using the theme. I’m not going to get that from Google (yet).

By the way, I discovered several WordPress themes which I like, and by the end of the evening, I had nearly finished a quick redesign of both IzzyVideo.com and RollingRs.com.

Zillions of Good People

How do I know there are zillions of good people in the world?

Because there are so many free WordPress themes created by brilliant designers. This new theme for my personal blog, well… I totally dig it.

I especially like the beauty of the comment system. It’s called “Lush” and it comes with every new WordPress installation, so I know there are probably tens of thousands of people using the same one, but that’s okay with me. I still think it’s gorgeous.

Mmm. I really like this theme. Did I already say that?
